Every month on the 18th, I celebrate the strong, intelligent and kind women in my life.

This month, meet my friend Tracey, Owner of Bowen’s Barber Shop @traceybowenbarber.

Tracey and I met back in 1999 when we were hired as Associate Producers for the ABC Television game show, Who Wants to Be a Millionaire. We became instant friends. She is one of the kindest people I know (she also has quite the sense of humor). Check out her IG page.

Tracey: Owner, Bowen’s Barber Shop Bucks County, PA

18th Style: Who inspires your style?

Tracey: Jennifer Lopez is definitely my style icon. Her style is sexy and powerful. She is the perfect mix of urban/street and glam. She can make a track suit and designer dress look equally sexy. I love that!

As a fellow mom of twins, I also love that she looks better than ever after giving birth. Fitness and a healthy lifestyle are of utmost importance to her and that shows through,in her style. Her work ethic, both personally and professionally is insane! She totally motivates my career and fitness goals. She proves that you can be successful in business while also being a mom! And that having a six pack is very possible after having twins!

18th Style: What does style mean to you?

Tracey: Style for me is having fashion flexibility. There are a lot of sides to my personality and I like my style to reflect that. I wear whatever feels right to me at the time. Being comfortable is a MUST and is the one consistent element of my style – whether it’s a gym outfit or a LBD, it has to be comfortable.

Right now all of my time is spent either at the barber shop or at the gym. If I’m at work, I’m wearing an all black outfit. It’s easy and is habit from my days of working in NYC on TV sets. If I’m training at the gym, I’m sporting performance active wear that can go from the gym to street.

Tracey: My favorite brand right now is Athleta. It’s premium quality active wear that suits my busy lifestyle. Their clothes are super feminine and versatile. I can wear it to work, to the gym, to run around town with my kids and for a night out! Perfect example…I recently wore their Gleam Tight 2.0 Leather Leggings with sneakers to run errands and then paired them with heels for a night out!
